Microsoft Releases Patch for Security Flaw

Posted by in Uncategorized

Early today Microsoft released a patch, temporarily fixing the shell extension flaw.  Because of it’s importance, this patch is being released separately (and early) from the regularly scheduled Microsoft Security update.  Any users running an operating system listed in the Microsoft Security Advisory need to install this update in order to remain secure.  Affected operating systems include Windows XP (Service Pack 3), Windows Vista, and Windows 7 (all versions).

Users who are currently running a system that is no longer supported by Microsoft Updates (Windows XP SP2, Windows 2000 and all older versions of Windows) will not be able to receive this update, and need to update their operating system accordingly.

If you’re unsure of how to update your computer, or don’t know if your system is up to date, bring it in today and let one of our skilled technicians solve your problems.  Call us at 361-729-2323.
