How to create a new account in Outlook Express

1. Click on Tools in the menu bar and go down to accounts. 2. Go to the Mail tab. Click on add and then Mail. 3. Type your name as you want it to appear when someone receives an email from you, click next. 4. Select I already have an e-mail address that I’d like to use and type your new email address in as username@dbstech.com click next. 5. My incoming mail server is a POP3 server. Incoming Mail server should read mail.dbstech.com the out going mail server should read mail.dbstech.com click next. 6. Account name should read as the first part of your email address before @ sign. If your e-mail account is fakeuser@dbstech.com, then your account name is fakeuser. Your password will only appear as asterisks. Check remember password, if you don’t want to enter your password every time you check mail, click next. 7. Click finish. 8. Open Outlook Express 9. Click Tools 10. Click Accounts 11. Click Mail 12. Double Click "mail.dbstech.com" 13. Click the "Servers" tab 14. Place a check in "My server requires authentication" Click OK (Updated 4/29/05 thanks to Jerry Sanchez for pointing out the mistake.)
