How to create a new connection in Windows 95/98
To make a new Dial-Up Networking Connection, follow the instructions below.
  1. From your desktop screen, double click on My Computer.
  2. Double click on the Dial-Up Networking folder.
  3. Double click on the Make New Connection icon, and the Make New Connection Wizard will appear.
  4. Enter DBSNet as the name for the connection, and make sure that your proper modem has been chosen in the drop down menu. Click Next.
  5. On the second screen of the Wizard, enter the access number for your calling area. After you have entered your access number, click next to continue.
  6. Click Finish on the final screen of the Make New Connection Wizard. Now that you have created a new connection, you may need to optimize your connection before you connect.
